D'
Arcy Spice |
|
An
old dessert apple. The flavour is richly aromatic, sweet,
though it needs a hot summer to gain the spicy flavour
after which it was named. The skin is a bright yellow with
russetting. Found at Tolleshunt D'Arcy, Essex in about
1785. |
