Handsome, highly esteemed culinary apple. Large pale yellow-green fruit, deepening to orange-yellow with short stripes of bright red and some russet patches. Good acid-sweet flavour, cooks to a froth. Large, heavy cropping tree. Lincolnshire C.1858

Dessert, juice and keeping apple. Small golden-yellow fruit covered with fine russet. Sweet, juicy, sugary, and somewhat pineapple flavoured. Small, upright tree, very suitable for small gardens. Surrey C.1785
