Filbert - Corylus Maxima
Filbert's make a large deciduous shrub with large
heart shaped leaves. The nuts are larger than hazelnuts and ripen
September to October. Introduced from the Balkans in 1759.Filbert plants are dispatched as bare root hedging from November to April or as pot grown hedging all year round.
