A native large shrub or small tree, easy to grow in most situations, autumn colouring of yellow foliage and red fruits changing to black, the wood was once used for gunpowder charcoal.

Alder Buckthorn plants are dispatched as bare root hedging from November to April or as pot grown hedging all year round.
