Italian
Alder
The lovely fresh apple green rounded leaves gives this
easy going medium sized tree a good feel in any garden, introduced
from Southern Italy about 1820 which gives it the common name of Italian
Alder.

Alder
Native to Britain, it grows wild on riversides and in
damp, boggy places. Beautiful in February and March when it is
covered in soft yellow catkins.
