The Snowdrop Tree well named and unmistakeable when in flower during late summer the white bell shaped flowers hang in clusters standing out well against the deepish green foliage. Makes a small shrubby tree.

Halimium commutatum This sun loving evergreen thrives in a hot sunny position. Flowers are yellow May - July. Height 30cm, spread 45cm. Water regularly until established.

Halimiocistus sahucii An intergeneric hybrid of Halimium and Cistus, this is a dwarf spreading shrub with attractive narrow leaves and eye-catching pure white flowers all summer.

The Sea Buckthorn is a very pretty silver leaved shrub, stunning when laden with its orange yellow berries which are only produced on the female plants.

Lacebark

Lacebark, I first came across this superb small tree when it was in full flower in the Quantocks in Somerset and immediately fell in love with it. Evergreen, tall and symmetrical in shape, I have found it grows quite happily in East Anglia.

Holodiscus discolor Introduced in 1927 by David Douglas from N. America. A very beautiful deciduous shrub which can grow to 3.5m, with drooping feathery panicles of creamy white flowers in July.

Hypericum Hidcote A very showy semi evergreen medium sized shrub with the most golden yellow you can imagine as large saucer shaped flowers which smother the bush throughout the summer

Hypericum kouytchense (Sungold) From China, semi evergreen of small compact habit. Large bright yellow flowers followed by bright red capsules

Hypericum moserianum Makes a low growing small shrub with masses of golden yellow flowers during height of summer and beyond.

Hypericum moserianum Tricolor Leaves distinct variegation of green, white and pink. Provide a little shelter for it to perform best
