Nandina domestica

Sacred Bamboo

'Sacred Bamboo'. As the common name suggests, this is a bamboo-like shrub. The erect, branchless stems hold large compound leaves which become tinged red-purple in spring and autumn. In mid summer it produces long panicles of small white flowers.

Nandina domestica Fire Power Though looking much like a small bamboo this actually belongs to the family of shrubs Berberis. This form has the benefit of good autumn colourings of orange and reds. Perfectly hardy here in Suffolk.

Neillia affinis Comes into its own in height of summer with a superb display of lipstick pink flowers which cover the bush

Neillia thibetica A wonderful display from this deciduous arching shrub. Its three lobed leaves are dark green and shiny, with sharply toothed serrations. In May and June it bears impressive spikes of small pink tubular flowers.

A most desirable medium sized tree of good quick growth given the right location. Small attractive glossy green leaves which turn shades of yellow in autumn. Trunk of tree often attractively twisted and fluted
