British Grown Semi Mature Specimen Trees

Botanica offers a wonderful and extensive selection of mature British grown native and ornamental trees that is seldom seen elsewhere. We specialise in advanced nursery stock in a wide range of sizes.

Though we grow thousands of trees, these selected large semi mature specimen trees are only grown in limited numbers. They are perfect for an instant effect in any garden or landscape scheme providing a naturally established look.

For our larger advanced size and semi- mature trees we use the groundbreaking new technology of Air Pots, which produce dense non-spiralling roots systems. We also growing them in our very own special 100% peat free compost. These techniques increase the quality of our specimen trees and the speed and ease of establishment when planted. So we can guarantee the superb quality of our genuine British grown mature specimen trees.

130L Liquidambar styraciflua

Quite rightly gaining in popularity, this makes a fine specimen tree ultimately of large size with a broad pyramidal crown. It has deeply lobed shiny green leaves which take on some of the best autumn colour around.

These Liquidambar styraciflua trees are grown in 70L pots and stand around 3.5m tall with a trunk girth of 10 - 12cm.

70L Populus Balsam Spire Tree

This is an extremely vigorous large narrow tree with white on the undersides of the leaves. The leaf buds have a fabulous balsam scent in spring which carries far on the breeze.

These Populus Balsam Spire trees are grown in 70L pots and stand around 3.5m tall with a trunk girth of 10 - 12cm.

300L Eucalyptus dalrympleana

A fast growing evergreen tree or shrub. Grey leaves and white bark on mature specimens. Height in 20 years approx 25ft. Tolerant of poor, sandy soils. Plant out of cold winter winds.

These are Large 5m plus tall trees which a trunk girth of around 20 - 25cm .

500L Acer negundo Flamingo

A very pretty small tree especially in spring when the new young leaves have a pink margin that slowly turns to white as the season progresses.

These lovely Acers are lovely shruby trees which are around 3m tall.
